Virgin Reserve

In 2010 Virgin Reserve became the second property acquired by OASISFORESTS. It is a virgin rainforest of 378.79 hectares near Boca Tapada, San Carlos, Costa Rica and close to the Río San Carlos. It has no buildings and no roads. This forest contains giant trees of Almendro Amarillo estimated to be 400-600 years old that serve as nesting trees for the endangered Great Green Macaw. In addition are other highly endangered species such as the Danta, 3 types of monkeys and the 6 types of wildcats of Costa Rica, all of which exist freely.
